Lemons

Lemons is a painting completed for an upcoming show at Reuben Saunders Gallery in Wichita, KS on view the month of November 2026.  Using watercolor and gouache marks a return to my roots as a student some forty years ago.  I love the combination of blues and yellows and have used this palette in other paintings over the years.  It's also recalling still life paintings throughout history that make use of a simple still life arrangement to study light, composition and the inherent connections between humans and food.
